Good
morning.I was planning to send this out
yesterday but held off due to the snow forecast. On Tuesday, January 27th we will
return to A schedule which means students will report directly to their First
Period Class. These next two days we
will be wrapping up Geography Standard 3A and preparing for the Unit Test which is
still scheduled for Friday, January 30th. I am attaching the Study Guide to this email
and students will receive a hard copy tomorrow, January 28th.Provided we have no school delays, students
should have some time in class to work on it prior to the test.
This week we will discuss Reasons for Migration (push and pull factors) and then take the unit test.
On Tuesday, February 17th the PTO will be sponsoring a school-wide fundraiser at Chipotle. We are encouraging Gold 6 Students and their families to go as we will directly benefit from the money raised. We are hoping to take our Gold 6 students to Medieval Times Dinner Theatre in Hanover, Maryland as our end of the year field trip and the PTO will be providing us with additional funds from this event. This will directly coincide with our Middle Ages Unit! If you have any questions, please email me and hope to see everyone on the 17th!
Once you have signed up for Remind you will receive text messages from me reminding parents/students that there is a quiz approaching etc… Also, if for some reason after school sports/activities are cancelled, I will send out a text as soon as I know so you can make arrangements for your son/daughter afterschool.
